What Information Is Required On Cosmetic Labels?

Posted by Lauren Meeker on 7/26/2017
Cosmetic Labels Do you have a cosmetic product that is ready to be labeled and pushed out to customers? Whether it’s a soap or skin care product, there are incredibly strict requirements on what is necessary to display to your customers, and it’s important to make sure you have the correct information included before your labels are finalized. The FDA has strict regulations for what information is deemed necessary to include in cosmetic labels in the United States. They require all of the following products to abide by these cosmetic labeling regulations:
  • Skin creams
  • Lotions
  • Perfumes
  • Lipsticks
  • Fingernail polishes
  • Eye and facial make-up preparations
  • Shampoos
  • Permanent waves
  • Hair colors
  • Toothpastes
  • Deodorants
  • And any material intended for use as a component of a cosmetic product
Make sure to check out the guidelines, and if you still have questions feel free to contact us! We’d be happy to help you with all of your cosmetic labeling needs.
